All Walks Beyond the Catwalk celebrate all shapes and sizes at the National Portrait Gallery with Rankin
The Campaign for Body Confidence’s campaign partner, All Walks Beyond the Catwalk, will be celebrating an evening of fashion, beauty and diversity at the National Portrait Gallery on February 11th called ‘Snapped’. From 6-10pm, All Walks will be currating an evening of special events, including the premiere of nine new portraits by Rankin, all designed to address the question: “Has Fashion become the lens by which we evaluate identity today?”. All Walks have collaborated with nine major fashion designers, including Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood to create the images using a wide range of models aged 18-80, of varying sizes and skin tones.
Alongside the photographic trail, there will be life drawing and fashion illustration masterclasses by London College of Fashion, casting for a live portrait shoot, interactive artworks by Josephine Chime and an all-female DJ line up providing the music.
The evening will also feature a high powered debate by industry experts Lorraine Candy, editor of Elle magazine, Lynne Featherstone, Government Minister for Equalities, psychologist Linda Papadopoulos, and Erin O’Connor, model and expert in the role of image in fashion, media and advertising.
The evening is free and all are welcome to attend, so please do come along to this exciting event.
